Can you participate?

The C-PIP team aims to recruit 800 children, ages 3 months to 16 years old. We aim to include a diverse group of children, who represent our communities. 

Eligibility for participation in the C-PIP study will be done over the phone.

Who should not participate?

  • Anyone 17 years and older

  • Heart pacemakers, braces, metal plates in head, non-removable glucose monitors are not compatible with the MRI scanner.

    Implanted tooth posts are ok! If your braces are removed soon, then you are good to go.

    So are most IUDs (copper ones might need an extra check)

  • Infants, children, or adolescents with severe neuro-developmental disabilities will not be included.
