Welcome to C-PIP

The Canadian Pediatric Imaging Platform

We’re a team of Canadian scientists based out of three top Canadian Universities.
We are on a fantastic mission to learn more about the developing brain from infancy to adulthood. Click here to meet the team.

C-PIP is the Canadian Pediatric Imaging Platform. Our big dream is to transform pediatric research across Canada by creating a large database where scientists can come together, share ideas, and have access to brain data, all in one place. This means scientists can use this data to provide solid, evidence-based answers to the questions about children’s brain development that we currently lack answers to.

Because we want to find amazing discoveries that will make life better for families, scientists, and individuals just like you, now and in the future!

We are currently recruiting children from 3 months of age to 16 years. We want to include as many children as possible! To find out more about participation, click here.

Our purpose

Improving
Diagnoses

Our advanced brain imaging technology and tools will improve the diagnostic accuracy of many childhood brain disorders.

Ensuring Child-Friendly, High-Quality Data

Our mandate is to collect the highest quality brain data while making the experience enjoyable for children. Unlike x-ray machines, MRIs do not involve radiation. Your child will be able to watch age-appropriate movies as our team collects images of your child’s brain.

Enhancing Collaboration

Our platform will foster collaboration with brain experts from around the world, to help develop tools to improve accuracy in diagnosing childhood brain disorders and to develop treatment and preventative methods to help these children.

Streamlining Brain Data Workflow

Our platform aims to optimize the workflow of healthcare professionals involved in pediatric imaging, making it more efficient, reducing the time required for diagnosis and treatment planning.

Helping to Facilitate Research

Our study will enable healthcare professionals and expert researchers to study and analyze pediatric brain data for a better understanding of various conditions, treatments, and outcomes for children.

Improving Accessibility

We aim to collect brain data from children, ages 3 months to 16 years. Our goal is to gather a diverse group that represents our communities.
